VillaDirect homes feature SecurePASS locks
Over 99% of vacation homes, pool homes, condos and town homes offered through the VillaDirect website are fitted with the new, keyless SecurePASS lock system. VillaDirect is the only company in the Orlando and Disney area to offer guests vacation homes with the SecurePASS system - complete with unique codes.
What is SecurePASS?
- SecurePASS is an electronic lock that uses a time-generated code for access. Specially designed software generates a unique code (from over 1 million possible combinations within each lock) for each guest party. A guest has the option to change their code to a more personally memorable number during their stay, giving all family members peace of mind, total flexibility and convenience for leaving and returning to the vacation home whenever they wish, without the need to stay together all the time.
Why does VillaDirect use SecurePASS?
- The main reason is your peace of mind. The SecurePASS lock offers you a unique access code that is only issued to you and is valid for the dates of your stay at a VillaDirect vacation home. Our unique, in-house developed software ensures that no secondary codes are issued during your stay – so the only people to have access to your vacation home when you are staying is your family.
As the lock system does not use a key, guests can simply close the door on their departure from the Disney vacation home, and the door will automatically lock itself (only your code will open the door during your stay). On the day you leave, you can simply be on your way without the hassle of driving to our office to return keys.
I've seen similar locks on other companies' homes – are they the same?
- No. Other companies simply buy the lock from the manufacturer and install it. This gives them a limited range of codes that they can use. Typically, they will issue a "master code" for their locks (which many people have access to).
VillaDirect developed software to make sure that the code issued is unique, so that we can offer you the peace of mind of making sure that no one else can access your vacation home during your stay without our prior approval….and we GUARANTEE that we won’t give that approval unless there is an emergency.
