Accidental Damage Waiver
Guests sometimes ask what would happen if one of their party damages the vacation home during their stay.
Instead of taking money from guests to hold for a security deposit, as many other companies do, VillaDirect believes that it's important to release as much of your money to you to enjoy during your vacation.
To give our guests the peace of mind of knowing that they're covered for most unforeseen eventualities, VillaDirect provides the Accidental Damage Waiver.
Each guest party pays a simple $65 (plus tax) Accidental Damager Waiver (ADW) fee with their booking. The money paid to VillaDirect for the ADW is a form of insurance, that covers your party for up to $500 of accidental damage should you have an accident while at the vacation home. VillaDirect Cancellation Protection Plan
Guests sometimes ask for details of our cancellation policy when booking a vacation home. The reasons are understandable, in these days of uncertainty, all guests want to be sure that they have the flexibility to cancel or re-schedule their vacation time without penalty.

So that VillaDirect can provide our Guests with the peace-of-mind of knowing that their vacation plans are protected, we created VillaDirect Cancellation Protection (VCP) plan. By purchasing this plan our guests are covered for unforeseen eventualities that could mean they have to cancel or change the dates of their booking for the vacation home of their dreams.
VCP costs only $95 per vacation home booked at the time of booking. That's typically less than $10 per day of your vacation for TOTAL PEACE OF MIND - of knowing that....whatever life has in store....your vacation will be covered and safe.
If you purchase VillaDirect Cancellation Protection Plan:
In the event that you are prevented from renting your home because: (a) you, a traveling companion, or an immediate family member suffers an injury, sickness or death; or (b) you, or a traveling companion is hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury, or subpoenaed; then VillaDirect will waive all cancellation fees upon receipt of written supporting documentation.
This applies to all deposits, final payments, part payments, and pool heat up to 3 days prior to the arrival date. If you need to cancel within 3 days of the arrival date, then VillaDirect will retain the 20% deposit from your payments and refund the rest under VCP. Please note that this does not apply to vehicle rental, attraction ticket or baby equipment rental payments, or any service provided by a third party, nor does it cover unpaid rental money. VCP is subject to additional terms outside of the standard terms and conditions of rental offered by VillaDirect. A copy of these terms is available on request.
In the event that a hurricane watch or warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center that is forecast to strike the county in which your vacation home is located anytime during your stay, VCP also allows you to re-book the unused portion of your vacation dates within 18 months of your original arrival date without penalty.
NOT COVERED:
VCP does not cover you for the cost of the protection itself, processing charges imposed by VillaDirect, and/or any additional costs and charges you may incur from third parties as a result of a change in dates and/or accommodations.
