How to plan your vacation activities

There are so many different things to do here in Orlando! Known as the vacation capitol of the World - you won't be able to fit all of the possible activities that you want in to a short trip. There are literally thousands of things to do - so where do you start?

Plan, plan, plan ...

Create a list of the things that you simply must do. Which ones are most important? Theme park trips, shopping, sports, beach trips, activities....try to work out how many days it will take you to do them all. As a tip, allow the following per each....

• Figure for at least one day per theme park. You may decide that you want to "park-hop" between individual Disney parks, or to go to both Universal parks in one day...but believe us, you will be tired at the end.


• Try not to "attack" two major parks on two consecutive days - you really will be too tired.


• Plan for one day in every three to relax by the pool. So many guests forget this - and find that they go back home needing another vacation!


• Allow half a day for each shopping trip - the malls are BIG here and there are lots of them.


• Plan at least half a day per activity (like balloon rides or a visit to Gatorland) ... more if it's a sports activity like para-sailing or an air-boat trip across the Everglades.


• If you want to see one of our fabulous beaches - expect to take a day out of your itinerary. Although some of the best beaches in the US are only an hour away from your vacation home - most guests want to spend a whole day on the beach during their vacation here.


• Try and plan a "lazy day" where you can re-charge your batteries and enjoy time with your family.

Whatever else - enjoy everything Orlando has to offer
