Kids and youths (ages 8 thru 17) from Central Florida, including kids from Sanford and Orlando will gather at Derby Park in Sanford on the weekend of April 21-22nd 2007, to watch and compete in the downhill, gravity-powered soapbox derby rally. All of the racers are built by the kids (and maybe with some parental involvement?) and will speed down the purpose-build soap-box derby track at Derby Park. Derby Park in Sanford features reservable picnic shelters, BBQ grills, restrooms, playground equipment and tot-lot, sand volleyball courts, a fitness area...and the Soap Box Derby race track.
