Independence Day 2014 in Orlando

Independence Day (not the movie, no aliens here) is upon us, and that means it’s time to celebrate freedom! We’ve found some great ways to enjoy the 4th of July with your family in the Orlando area, so read on and plan your holiday weekend!

LEGOLAND®– Red, Brick and Boom

LEGOLAND® is putting a unique spin on 4th of July fireworks this weekend! Their special glasses turn ordinary fireworks into millions of exploding LEGO® bricks, making this show and absolute must see! With park admission, guests will be able to enjoy 4th of July festivities all day, with the celebration culminating in an awesome fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Disney World’s 4th of July (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios)

Disney is known for going all out to celebrate the good ol’ US of A, and you’ll be able to find stellar celebrations at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot AND Hollywood Studios this year.  The Magic Kingdom honors America with traditional American songs playing while fireworks light up the sky behind the Cinderella Castle, while Epcot and Hollywood Studios celebrate the 4th with unique, choreographed fireworks and light shows the whole family will love.

Winter Park 4th of July Daytime Festivities

4th of July is about more than fireworks; it’s about enjoying our freedom! Winter Park hosts their annual Watermelon 5k on Park Avenue in Orlando during the morning of July 4th and an annual Independence Day Celebration with activities, musical performances and free admission to the Morse Museum during the day.

Downtown Orlando and Downtown Sanford 4th of July Fireworks

Two of Orlando’s largest fireworks shows will take place in Downtown Orlando and Downtown Sanford on the 4th of July! The bombs start bursting in air in Downtown Orlando at 9:10 p.m. while the fireworks in Sanford will start going off around 9:15 p.m.

SeaWorld Orlando

Guests at SeaWorld Orlando’s 4th of July Celebration will be able to witness the all-new nighttime show, “Shamu’s Celebration: Light up the Night” before heading over to Bayside Stadium to end the evening with a musical performance and fantastic firework finale.
