Delz Freeze Ice Cream Best Ice Cream in Orlando Orlando VillaDirect Vacation HomesDel’z Freez

Any local will tell you, Del’z Freeze may not look like much from the outside, but the line always stretches around the block. With a reputation for delicious soft serve combinations and equally friendly service, Del’z has been a go-to option for the best ice cream in Orlando for decades. Located in Melbourne, Florida just outside Orlando’s city limits, Del’z was one of the first area ice cream shops to offer soft-serve nearly 60 year ago, and they have perfected the art. Our favorite combinations include vanilla and gummy bears and vanilla and peanut butter dipped in a chocolate shell. Servings are generous, and if you’re not in the mood for ice cream, they offer thick, creamy shakes and delicious chili dogs. Disclaimer: They take cash only! But trust us, it’s worth a stop at the ATM.

Ginther's Ice Cream Best Ice Cream in Orlando VillaDirect Vacation HomesLu Lu’s Ice Cream Shop

Lu Lu’s Ice Cream Shop in three words: Fun. Affordable. Fresh. Lu Lu’s is styled like a small cottage, which endears it to the thousands of area locals and tourists that visit each year. Their prices are more than reasonable and their ingredients including fresh fruit toppings, milk and cream are all sourced from Florida farmers.  The ice cream is made in-house, so it has a fresh taste that’s hard to find elsewhere, and popular flavors include mint chocolate trip and triple chocolate. Seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice are also available, and scoops are huge, so one scoop is usually enough to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth. One of our favorite things about this place: there’s no indoor seating. Just a few chairs out back and a nice big shade-giving tree to enjoy your ice cream under.
