When you stay in a vacation rental there are policies and rules that need to be followed, just like if you stay at an hotel. Please read and understand these regulations before booking to ensure that the community or resort on which you plan to stay is suitable for your requirements and that you have no disappointment when you arrive owing to false expectation.
All resorts and communities have common rules, some of which are determined by local county ordinance. We have provided these rules below:
> Guests are required not to make excessive noise or play music loudly after 10:00 PM in the evening. This is to avoid disturbance of other guests and/or residents in the community. This is a local county ordinance, and violation could result in a citation from the local Sheriffs department.
> Guests are reminded that all communities offered for rental are policed by the local Sheriffs department and any guest that breaks local county, state or federal laws may risk arrest and prosecution. We therefore remind guests to conduct themselves accordingly.
> Garbage collection is on 2 scheduled days each week. The garbage collection days are posted within each property on a sign in the kitchen. It is important that guests move trash cans to the bottom of the drive on the night prior to collection day and bring the trash cans back after collection the following day.
> The satellite images provided on Google Maps can be several years out of date and may or may not accurately represent the location in which the specific property you are booking is situated. However, the map reference details will place the Google Map cursor in or around the entrance to the community.
> All communities restrict the erection of temporary or permanent structures by guests on the property lot, against the property building, or on private or common areas and have a legal right to demand to have any such structure removed and/or fine a guest for breach of this restriction.
Additional regulations may also apply to gated communities or communities which operate a manned guard gate for residents and guests. These additional "Resort rules" are provided below:
> Guests are required stop at the guard gate on arrival at the resort and register their vehicle and receive a vehicle card or sticker which should be displayed in the front window of the vehicle to gain access throughout their stay. Valid photo ID may be required to receive the vehicle access card.
> Guests MUST comply with entry procedures as posted/ Guests MUST have their reservation paperwork with the property address, arrival and departure dates ready.
> Some resort communities may require guests to register their stay at the clubhouse and provide a credit card imprint or swipe to cover damages or use. Wherever this is required, your VillaDirect Arrival Guide package will advise you.
> Resort clubhouse regulations and opening times are posted at each individual clubhouse. Guests may be required to pay a refundable deposit to receive each access card for the clubhouse at some resorts.
> On some resorts, guests are required to notify the guard gate of a delivery of a carry out in order for the guard to give access to the delivery vehicle.
> Garbage collection is scheduled for specific days of the week. The garbage collection day(s) is/are posted within each property on a sign in the kitchen. It is important that guests move trash cans to the bottom of the drive on the night prior to collection day and bring the trash cans back after collection the following day.
