Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios
Opening 30th June 2018 – be the first!
When it opens, guests visiting Disney’s new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios will have a great time with Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and Andy’s other beloved toys right in Andy’s backyard. Rides include Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and an update to Toy Story Mania, an interactive 4-D arcade experience.
Toy Story Land gives you a “shrinking” feeling because, as with so many things Disney, everything else is larger than life. You are the size of the toys, or is it the other way round?
Slinky Dog Dash is a roller coaster Andy built from his Mega Coaster Play Kit. You get to ride Slinky Dog! Thanks, Andy!
Alien Swirling Saucers is a space themed play set that Andy won from Pizza Planet. Little green aliens swirl around in their flying saucers with guests following along in their rocket ship toys. “The Claw” hangs overhead while every child hopes he or she is chosen.
You will walk through a new carnival game box to experience Toy Story Mania. This attraction has been around since 2008, when it quickly became a guest-favorite attraction at the park. It has now been expanded with a third track. Even more guests can get in on the action taking aim at 3D objects – using everything from baseballs to cream pies – in a variety of whimsical, fast-paced games.
Woody’s Lunch Box – well, it’s really Andy’s lunch box that he’s dropped on its side – inside they serve up tasty meals and old-fashioned soda floats from a walk-up window setting.
The entire land serves as a visual celebration of Andy’s toys including Crayons, Cooties, Green Army Men, Rubik’s Cubes, Tinkertoys, and other familiar toys and game pieces all incorporated into the landscape.

Rented through VillaDirect after a mgmt company with VRBO cancelled my reservation at the last minute. VillaDirect does a great job with communication which is huge for me. Rented through another company last year and once they got my money, could not get them to respond to me! I rented Disneytopia. It was clean and as pictured. I would have appreciated having a small amount of dish soap and a couple dishwasher pods. The only other minor complaint is that the lighting in the house is dim, which is one of my biggest complaints about all the hotels I’ve stayed in! Yep, I’m a bit picky!! I would definitely rent from VillaDirect again.
We loved our experience with VillaDirect. Our gym wanted housing all close to each other and Stacy Kerness was able to accommodate us with several 7-8 bedroom villas. We stayed in Emerald Island Resort last year as well and loved it! Will definitely be booking through them again! The only thing I wish was maybe an email with checkout procedures. I left towels in the washer and dryer, but wasn’t sure about needing to clean the linens. Our house was PERFECT and the customer service top notch!
This is our second year running booking the condo at vista cay and the service was great and we will be looking to book again in the future.
