Gaylord Palms presents ICE!

Who says the holidays in Florida are all about palm trees and sunshine? This holiday season, be a part of Orlando's most unique holiday attractions – ICE! At Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee (just around the corner from the VillaDirect offices!).

ICE! runs from November 18th 2006 through January 7th 2007.

This is really worth a visit while you’re staying at one of our Disney vacation homes – there’s something for everyone at this Winter wonderland. This year's walk-through experience in Orlando reflects the theme ”A Season of Wishes”. Back by popular demand, this attraction gives guests an opportunity to visit a whimsical winter wonderland of interactive environments and larger-than-life, three-dimensional holiday scenes; all carved from nearly two million pounds of ice.

Other scenes will include a Victorian holiday home with a life-sized horse-drawn carriage you can sit in, the whimsical Santa's Toyland, and a majestic Church in the Woods. There’s a breathtaking life-size nativity carved completely of crystal-clear ice. And, of course, three fantastic ice slides will return amid a towering Christmas Castle. The enormous structure which houses ICE! is chilled to nine degrees, so leave your flip-flops at your Florida vacation home from VillaDirect. Don't forget your winter coats at home in preparation for the coolest Florida winter on record! But in case you do, parkas will be provided.

Nearly 5,000 blocks of ice will be hand carved and transformed into a winter wonderland.
1,500+ fluorescent lights will be frozen within the ice, creating a magical holiday experience
More than 18,000 total square feet of space is covered by the ICE! attraction.
Kept at a brisk 9 degrees Fahrenheit, the unique structure housing ICE! is also known as the “Florida Fridge.” It is believed to be the first of its kind in North America.
