It doesn’t snow in Florida, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find any holiday spirit in Orlando! This sunny central Florida getaway perfectly escapes frigid northern temperatures without sacrificing any holiday fun! From dinner shows and parades to cultural holiday celebrations, there’s something for everyone in Orlando during the holidays.

Minnie Mouse’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
The fireworks will be enjoyed throughout the Magic Kingdom park, including Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Liberty Square. They will also be a part of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2019. Get into the Christmas spirit as the yuletide display’s festive colors add to some of your favorite carols.

Disney Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Disney World is the land of imagination, making it the perfect place to celebrate in Orlando during the holidays! At Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll be able to see Cinderella’s Castle transformed with a Frozen display of gleaming winter magic, experience snowfall on Main Street, and then line up for Mickey’s Parade with an appearance by Santa as well as Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf! Plus, get free cookies and hot cocoa!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and the newer Diagon Alley
Located at Universal Orlando, they showcase the Scottish village with the Hogwarts school and the London side of Rowling’s books and movies. The two are connected by the Hogwarts Express, a special train requiring each guest to have a two-park ticket to enter King’s Cross Station, where the Hogwarts Express and Platform 9¾ await. The conveyance originates in Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios Florida and is a Potter experience.

Gaylord Palms’ ICE
This attraction is a winter experience created from close to two million pounds of hand-carved ice that becomes a whimsical wonderland of interactive activities and three-dimensional ice sculptures and monuments. This “Florida Fridge” is cooled to nine degrees so the resort will provide winter coats for visitors.

SeaWorld Christmas Celebration
Watch whales soar through the air and celebrate with the crowd as you enjoy Shamu’s Christmas Miracles. Carols fill the air while ice skaters perform their holiday dances during Winter Wonderland on Ice, and you can travel to the North Pole on The Polar Express Experience before heading to see Santa at the delicious fireside feast!

Epcot’s Holidays Around the World
See how other cultures celebrate their winter holidays at Epcot. This holiday celebration features a Candlelight Processional (select nights only) with a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, a 50-piece orchestra, and a mass choir. You can also enjoy special Candlelight Dinner packages and the spectacular fireworks, laser, and water presentation Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

Christmas, Florida
The small post office approximately 20 miles east of Orlando on Highway 50 near the historic Fort Christmas finds people coming from all over and sometimes waiting in long lines to have their holiday cards postmarked Christmas, Florida. A historical park and a museum are located just a few miles north.

Grinchmas at Universal’s Island of Adventure
When the holiday season hits full swing, Universal’s Islands of Adventure will transform its Seuss Landing area into the whimsical world of Grinchmas. Be sure to explore every nook and cranny of this wintry wonderland, filled with special touches Dr. Seuss fans will surely adore.

Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal
Celebrate the 13th annual Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal, which features balloons and floats that appeared in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade the month before, as well as an appearance by Mr. Claus himself. Stroll through the Holiday Village and treat yourself to gifts, candy, and crafts that the whole family can enjoy.

You will find many events throughout Orlando during the Holidays and any other time of the year when you can visit. Even the resorts go “all-out,” decking their halls and providing unique entertainment during the Christmas season. There are Holidays Around the World and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, sleigh rides, and visits with Santa. There is Christmas Dinner with all the Trimmings at Disney World, which puts on the largest holiday celebration in Orlando.
