Guests staying in an Orlando vacation home from VillaDirect will soon be able to visit the new Aquatica water park next door to SeaWorld here in Orlando. This new park is scheduled to open in Spring 2008, and is eagerly anticipated by both regular visitors to central Florida and it's residents as a new experience in Orlando!
This whimsical water park blends close-up animal experiences, waters from serene to extreme - high-speed thrills and wide sandy beaches, together with some awesome surf pools.
Located just across the road from SeaWorld, just off International Drive in Orlando Florida, Aquatica water park stretches over 60 acres of sunny Florida.
The luscious tropical landscape of Aquatica frames the crystal blue rivers that wind through hidden grotto's and refreshing waterfalls that plummet over towering rock formations. Aquatica has been modelled on the rugged beauty of New Zealand and Australia. Live animals from lands all over the world including Commerson's dolphins, brilliant macaws and colorful fish bring the park's playful, high-energy nature to life.
Aquatica features the most thrilling water rides in the world, with over 36 water slides, six rivers and lagoons, and more than 80,000 square feet of beach area. Designed to have something for everyone in your family - these distinct attractions will zoom, float and splash guests through amazing animal habitats and undersea adventures.
The parks signature attraction ride plunges riders in clear tubes through a crystal blue lagoon with black-and-white Commerson's dolphins. Guests feel as if they are flying beneath the sea among these beautiful animals. While similar in coloration to SeaWorlds icon - Shamu, these dolphins are distinctly different.
