Doughnuts for Dumbo!
Donuts for Dumbo!
Some VillaDirect guests visiting Walt Disney World last week got what they believed was an "extra parade" as they drove in to the parks.
Anybody who has visited Walt Disney World before will already know that you drive in to Disney along a 3 and 4 lane highway called World Drive just off the I-4 and Highway 192 in Kissimmee.
As newly arriving visitors staying at Disney vacation homes from VillaDirect.com drove down World Drive last week - their magic started early when they saw a large African elephant walking down the median following a uniformed Disney cast member with an endless supply of doughnuts.
Behind "Dumbo's Mum" was a crowd of other uniformed cast members bringing up the rear of the "parade"!
It turned out that the female elephant had escaped from Disney's Animal Kingdom during a "stampede" when a doughnut delivery truck was making it's deliveries to the concession stands in Animal Kingdom.
It seems that the elephants at Animal Kingdom have become addicted to the sugared doughnuts when guests drop them from the trucks when they are on the Kilimanjaro Safaris® ride!

It was my father's dream trip to take all of the family to Disney World. What a special treat to stay in a home like this. My dad loved the spa and we really enjoyed being able to take a break from Theme Park food and come home to relax with a home cooked meal. We may never stay in a hotel again.
