Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival 2008
If you are visiting Orlando, Florida in March for Spring break, and you are going to be here during the weekend of the 14, 15 or 16th March 2008 - be sure to take the time to drive over to Winter Park for the annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.
This annual event is must see for any family staying in a vacation home in Orlando from VillaDirect.com - and has something for everyone. The show is one of Florida's longest established, and has literally hundreds of exhibits of art and crafts for sale. There are games, concerts, and things for everyone to enjoy all day long. Set in the Park alongside the main street (which is called Park Street in Winter Park!) - be sure to bring along comfortable footwear, as you will be sure to want to see all of the exhibits and stalls - and it's quite a walk in the Spring-time warmth.

Over 1,100 artists applied to exhibit in this year's show, and the board of the WPSAF selected 225 international artists to attend. Artists compete to win one of the 62 awards (valued at over $65,000 this year). The WPSAF purchases the winner of the "Best of Show" award and displays the art in a permanent display in the Winter Park public library, along with past winners from previous years entries. The show is open on Friday 14th March and Saturday 15th March from 9:00am through till 6:00pm, and on Sunday 16th March 2008 from 9:00am through 5:00pm. As well as the art show and festival, every day sees live entertainment presented on the stage located in north Central Park. The entertainment includes live radio broadcasts, performance artists and many bands. |

Following their stay in February 2007, DeNardo family from LA, USA commented:-
We had a GREAT time staying in Bella Verona. It was everything that we expected. Our children had the best time in the pool and in the game room. My husband and I love to come home from a long day and relax in the Jacuzzi. Everything that was needed for a great stay was there. Another great quality was being so close to everything. The parks were about 10 minutes, there were food places all over, and Wal-Mart was 2 minutes away. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back! Thank you!
