Experience Disney World Again

Disney World in Orlando opened way back in October 1971. Many kids who grew up in the 1970s and 1980s experienced the magic of the new park. In the years that have elapsed since then, those kids who visited decades ago have now grown into adults. Many have kids of their own. If you fit into this demographic, it’s time to experience Disney World again. Here are some reasons why.

New Parks

Back in 1971, Disney World consisted of the Magic Kingdom. Today, Disney World Resort consists of four amusement parks and two water parks. Experiencing all of the rides and attractions might have taken a day in the 1970s; now, it would probably take a week. With all the new parks, there are many new rides and attractions. There are still classics that existed at the park’s opening, but there are more impressive rides that can excite older riders.

Adult Rides

If you experienced Disney World in the early years, you probably rode rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s a Small World. These are fun, but they are not exciting for adults. Today, it’s possible to ride roller coasters like Expedition Everest and Space Mountain, among others.

If you think you’d be bored based upon your youthful trip, you might be surprised. Additionally, spending a day in the Magic Kingdom can still bring a sense of wonder to kids. If you have kids at home that have never visited a Disney park, they will likely be awestruck on their first trip.

Where To Stay

Many people choose to stay onsite at Disney World Resort. The location is quite convenient. The hotels are located on the resort property. The price of these rentals are generally not as convenient. This is why it might be advisable to check out some of the other options that are available. If you’re looking to experience Disney World as a member of the sandwich generation, you might want to have kids and grandparents together on a family trip. Getting access to a condo or house offsite will allow everyone to have plenty of space while saving money on both lodging and food. Many Orlando vacation homes come equipped with a kitchen so you’ll be able to make the food that you’d like at a cheaper price.
